How does it work?

The first step in creating a playlist at SongVote.com begins with creating a “contest.” A contest is where your SongVote journey takes off. Consider the contest as you would a voting booth. It’s a place where participants actually nominate/vote for songs they think should go on the playlist that’s being created. Click the “create a contest” button on your SongVote homepage & then customize the style of contest you’d like to run.

You can decide: Contest Name Description Contest End Date Event Date Privacy (Allow Comments, Allow Others to Invite, Who Can Vote, VIP Code*) (*VIP codes can be printed for easy access when sending physical invitations, i.e. weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthdays, etc.) Invites (You can upload your invites manually, through your e-mail address book, or Facebook Connect)

The final step is to click “Start Contest” and your contest page will be ready for people to start nominating/voting for songs for your playlist. Once the contest has ended, an email with the completed playlist will be sent to you with the option to purchase the songs from iTunes or Amazon.com.
