So, you’ve registered your blog, and you’re now approved as part of the community. Congratulations – you’re a SheBlogger! Now, what?
SheBlogs was created as a community for bloggers to connect with PR pros: we’re giving you the news, products, and contests that marketers want you to cover, and we’re giving you all the materials you need: announcement information, photos, links, and PR contact information to make that story possible, if you choose to cover it.
Be sure to check out our site on a regular basis for updated content – we’re bringing you everything from press releases to themed guide suggestions, complete with a variety of products that marketers feel would be a great addition to your own themed coverage, whether you’re writing a Mother’s Day or holiday gift guide, or if you’d like to run a special serious on summer travel or perfect home entertaining.
One thing we do ask is, if you use our service to cover a product, leave a comment and let us know – either posting a link to your story or telling us that you’ve contacted a PR rep.
Why is that so important? One of my jobs on a day to day basis is to talk to PR pros – tell them how our service works, about the amazing writers who are a part of our community, and, most importantly to them, whether our service will help them achieve their goals of connecting with you and securing the stories that their clients or companies are looking for.
Leaving links or comments for us helps me gauge the success of campaigns – so that I can A. share case studies with PR pros, B. advise them about the kinds of products and announcements you’re most interested in (and what you’re not interested in), and C. have a gauge by which I can share with a PR pro the success of a campaign they’ve run with us.
As we continue to grow, we’re hoping that SheBlogs will be a resource of choice for PR pros to reach out to you, the bloggers. Having these helpful metrics is a great way to encourage them to do so, and to bring you the best and most exciting products and announcements!

On the Summer $250 photography gift pack from EDGE contest, I got a little confused.
Are all of these contests available for us to blog about without contacting the PR? I wasn’t sure. If so, I would love to blog about this. I did contact the PR Joey by email regarding a coop opportunity. Thank you so much. Hopefully I will learn the ropes quickly, I am enjoying your site!
General rule of thumb when entering contests on SheBlogs – please always leave a link to your post on the comments section of its listing (in the case of the Edge contest – in the comments under the Edge post), and always make a point of emailing your link directly to the PR pro. It’s a great way to introduce yourself to them and get your blog’s name out there!
